PEPPERDINE LECTURESHIPS

Registration has begun for the Pepperdine Bible Lectures, which will be held May 1-4. This year's theme is "Living Between the Times," and features many great speakers, including our very own Adelle Gabrielson and Sammie Minke, as well as our previous Youth Minister, Walter Surdacki! You can register online at www.pepperdine.edu/biblelectures, or pick up a booklet at Member Services. Anyone wishing to stay in the Campbell dorm must register online or turn in their

registration form to Elaine NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12.


FREE TABLES

The church is giving away 12 rectangle-shaped wood tables, measurements are 30" wide by 72" long. If you are interested in them, or know someone who is, please contact Brian Kinnett at 378-4900 x237.


MEN'S MINISTRY MOVIE NIGHT

The Men's Ministry is sponsoring a FREE screening of the critically acclaimed movie Courageous. There will be two showings on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 5:15 and 8:15 pm. All are welcome, including families! Refreshments will be sold!  Free childcare available by reservation for the first showing only. Please call Trisha at 378-4900 x264 to RSVP for childcare. MEN'S FRATERNITY

The Great Adventure-In the Oak Room, every Wednesday at 9pm, and every Friday at 6am. New participants welcome at any time!

PARENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Randy will be leading a class for parents Wednesday nights, 6:45-8pm in the Oak Room to parallel the "Good Sex" class for high school students. This class will help parents engage with the complexities of sex and sexuality, while asking questions, reflecting on different perspectives and listening to scripture around the subject of sex.


SONG PACKETS

Song packets of sheet music (including songs not in our book) are available on the two entry tables for those who would find them helpful. The number printed each week will increase or decrease according to demand. If there are not enough, let Ken McAlpin or Mary Kay DeWald know.


NEW PANTRY NEED!

San Jose stores are no longer giving away grocery bags. Because of this, our pantry will now need bag donations going forward. Paper grocery bags with handles may be left in the Auditorium hallway, under the table by the restrooms.


WOMEN'S MINISTRY 

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES

Tuesdays, 9:30-11:30am in the Birch Room- "Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl" by Lysa TerKeurst. Free childcare available.


Tuesdays, 7-9pm at the home of Renee Shah- "Death and Resurrection of the Messiah" video series by Ray Vander Laan.


UNFINISHED OBJECTS - JANUARY 26. 6:30-10PM.

Do you have any UFOs in your house? You know, Unfinished Objects! Crafts, crocheting, quilting, that scrapbook you started and haven't finished... Stay for the evening, or just a little while! Refreshments provided. 


OASIS - FEB. 4. 9-11AM. IN THE OAK ROOM

Dr. Margo Greig from the Christian Counseling Center will speak on confidence. Enjoy time connecting with other women and a yummy breakfast. Free childcare available by reservation only - call 378-4900, x264 before Jan. 31.

Saturday, January 28 - 10 am. Hiking Adventure (non-insane) with Shane and Natalie. Hike Black Mountain in the beautiful Monte Bello Open Space Preserve (near Los Altos)! Meet at the church.

QUEST STUDENT LEADERSHIP

YOUTH MINISTRY

High School 

Senior Step | TODAY, 11:30-1pm | CCS Library| Seniors and their parents to gather to discuss topics related to life after high school.


Open | TODAY, 7-8:30pm |  The Zone (guys) | CCS Library (girls) | Bible study, community, accountability and... food! Join us as we seek to move closer to Jesus.


Good Sex | Wednesdays in the Zone | 6:45-8pm | High school students will be spending time during this six week course asking questions, reflecting on different perspectives and listening to scripture around the subject of sex. | Each session will include a parent guide to continue the conversation. | PARENTS-There will be a parallel "Good Sex" class led by Randy Hall for parents... please see opposite page for info.


Winter Camp | Feb. 24-26 | An awesome time with our friends from other churches, outdoor adventure and finding out more about this year's theme "Winter Camp."


Middle School 

8th Grade Retreat | Feb. 10-12 | Sonora Retreat Cabin | $60 due by Sunday, Feb. 1, which includes the snow trip on Feb. 11 | This is a great time for all 8th graders to get away together, have fun, and talk about high school.


Snow Trip | Feb. 17 | Leeland | $35 due by Sunday, Feb. 5 | Come away for a fun day of tubing down the slopes!

PARENTS' CONNECTION 

A place for parents of elementary and preschool-age kids to discuss parenting and other life issues, together. Sundays, 10-11am. In the CCS Library


Children's Ministry Urgent Need

We are in need of childcare volunteers for Sunday mornings from 11:00-11:40, and Wee Worship co-teachers for May-Aug. See Garry Bortz if you can help!
