NEW BABY!

On May 12, Lucia Suzume Humphreys was born to parents Matthew & Danielle, and joined big brothers Noah and Micah. She was born at 11:12 pm, weighing 7 lbs 8 oz, and measuring 21.5 inches long. Congratulations to the Humphreys family!

SUMMER INTERN

Matthew Bowman, an Abilene Christian University student, is here this summer as a worship ministry intern. Ken will be on a sabbatical after VBS, studying and refreshing his ministry. Matthew will work with Ken until Ken leaves and then lead worship and work in other ministries till mid-August.

GRADUATION CELEBRATION FOR DAVID SANCHEZ

Join us at the Sanchez home Saturday, May 26, 4-8pm for a graduation open house celebrating David Sanchez's graduation from Valley Christian High School and send-off to Northwestern University near Chicago. Come for a quick congratulatory hug or spend the afternoon with family and friends. Congratulations to ALL graduating seniors!

An updated picture directory of our church family is in progress. Bill Charbonnet will be offering picture taking services the next three Sunday mornings, 9:45-11:15 in the Inner Courtyard (between the Auditorium and Office Building) starting today. It now appears that any major disruption in our parking lot due to the start of construction will not occur for several weeks. We will keep you posted.

ADVENTURE CAMP VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Adventure Camp needs you! We need volunteers to be cabin leaders, kitchen helpers, Bible class teachers and activity leaders. Contact Garry Bortz for more info.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS NEEDED

We still need $550 for several kids who need scholarships to be able to attend camp this year. Please see Garry Bortz or Matthew Humphreys if you wish to contribute.

VBS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are still in need of 2 Bible story helpers for VBS. Please sign up at the KidZone table or let Garry know as soon as possible if you are able to help out with this.

GOT TP ROLLS?

What do toilet paper rolls have to do with VBS? 110 cardboard toilet paper tubes are needed for a craft project for VBS. Save yours up instead of tossing them and drop them by the KidZone Table.

There is a limited supply of VBS worker t-shirts & caps for sale at the KidZone Table. Shirts are $8, caps are $6.

VBS Music is available at the KidZone table! CD's $10, dvd's $20.

Filoli Estate mothers lunch! Keep the Mother's Day celebration going! Meet at 10 am and cruise around the beautiful gardens till about 11:30 am, followed by lunch.

AWE   

The next AWE is June 10, 6pm in the Oak Room. Special "guest" speaker Matthew Humphreys will be teaching from Romans 6, as we continue the series "The Gravity of Grace."

Nerd Night   

Saturday, June 2, 6pm at the Cox home. Bring your geek cred, sonic screwdriver, lightsaber or grond. Get ready for a knerd knowledge thowdown, and some MST3K-style laughs! Fusion, Quest and The Zone are all invited. Hotdogs, burgers and drinks will be provided.

Night of Honor   

Today, 6-8 pm in the Auditorium. Let's show support for our graduating seniors, as they make the big transition out of high school. Join together to honor this year's graduates. Everyone welcome to come!

Memorial Day Baseball   

A perfect Summer kick-off! Catch a San Jose Giants ball game on Memorial Day. The game starts at 2 pm. Let Shane know if you are interested!
